I was feeling particularly nostalgically inspired today, so I decided to wear my favorite yellow floral printed dress by Mellow Mellow. It has these big, billowy bell sleeves that make me feel like I'm living in the 1970s.
I've always been a bit of a dreamer, and this dress just enhances that feeling for me. It's funny, because as I twirl around in it, I'm transported back in time to a simpler, more carefree era.
But then reality sets in. As a mother, I have a lot on my plate. I have a little girl who needs constant attention and care. Being a mom is a full-time job, and it's not always easy.
I have to admit, I suffer from "mom brain" a lot. I find myself forgetting things left and right, whether it's a grocery list or my keys. It's just one of those things that seems to come with the territory of motherhood.
Despite the challenges, I wouldn't trade being a mom for anything in the world. My daughter is the light of my life, and I love being able to watch her grow and learn new things every day.
In fact, most of the shoots I do, I take my daughter with me. She's a natural in front of the camera, and she always manages to put a smile on my face, even when things are tough. Lately though on my last shoots she just comes along and watches me model. I think she will be into photographing me soonish.
I feel grateful for the life I've been given. Being a mom is hard work, but it's also the most rewarding job I've ever had.
